Book Review: The Sexual Adventures of Time and Space by Brian Sfinas

This book is not about sexual adventures. It’s not really about lucid dreaming except as the vehicle to demonstrate the narrator’s disdain for his waking, ordinary life. The story unfolded and I was lured into his world. The writing is never dull and the story line is well paced.

I found his perception keen but I am too far removed from that age group and generation to say to what extent he captures its mood. I found myself asking just what the appeal of lucid dreaming was, to be so great that Michael and his friends essentially abandoned all other parts of their lives to spend as much time as possible sleeping and dreaming. There were hints of beautiful dreams, but only hints. But escaping their “ordinary” lives seemed to be more important than the method.
